Dear triathletes and supporters,

Welcome to this new edition of the Ironmanneke, the Brussels triathlon held on the NATO site! 
Our aim: to offer every participant and accompanying person a sporting, friendly and family-oriented experience in a unique setting.

 

Access to the site

Access to the NATO site is strictly reserved for participants and accompanying persons who have registered in advance.
Please remember to bring valid ID, which will be required by security at the entrance.

 

Programme  

Morning – Children’s races (within the NATO grounds)

  • 10.00 am: 6–7 years old → 25 m swim | 2 km cycle | 50 m run
  • 10.20 am: 8–9 years old → 50 m | 2 km | 1 km 
  • 11:00 am: 10–11 years → 200 m | 4 km | 2 km
  • 11:40 am: 12–13 years → 200 m | 4 km | 2 km

 

Afternoon – Outdoor races (road cycling section)

  • 13:00: 14–15 years old → 250 m | 10 km | 2.5 km
  • 13:30: Beginners (aged 16 and over) → 250 m | 10 km | 2.5 km
  • 14:00: 16–17 years old → 500 m | 20 km | 5 km
  • 14:40: Promo (18 years and over) → 500 m | 20 km | 5 km

 

Results will be published as soon as possible on binotan.be.
The 3VL regulations (available at Triatlon Vlaanderen – Be3 Sportreglement 2024) will apply throughout the competition.
 

Practical information

  • Car park: Opens at 8.45 am at the Vias car park (100 spaces). Once full, you will be directed to the Decathlon car park (open on Sundays).

  • Registration desk: Opens at 9.00 am for registration and collection of race kit (race number, timing chip, etc.).

  • Bike park: Accessible 1 hour before your start time. Please collect your bike within one hour of your arrival.

  • Pool briefing: Please report to the pool 20 minutes before your start.

  • Podium ceremonies: By category, 30 minutes after the arrival of the last competitor in each category.

 

Equipment

To be handed in at the registration desk:

  • Race number (please bring a race number holder or safety pins)
  • Timing chip (to be returned after the race)
  • Chip holder
  • Helmet and bike labels
  • Swimming cap (provided before the start)

 

Items to bring:

  • Triathlon kit or swimsuit + running kit
  • Bicycle (time trial and electric bikes are prohibited)
  • Helmet
  • Box or bin to store your equipment in the bike park
  • Maximum dimensions: 50cm

  

Course

The cycling section is non-drafting, so you must maintain a distance of 12 metres between each cyclist

The swimming section takes place in a swimming pool for all races

The cycling section is shown in blue and the running section in yellow

  • 6-7 years:  25m – 2km – 500m 

 

 

  • 8-9 years: 50m – 2km – 1km 

 

 

  • 10-13 years: 200m – 4km (2 laps) – 2km (2 laps) 

 

 

  • 14–15 years + discovery: 250m – 10km  2,5km (2 laps) 

 

  • 16–17 years+ Promo : 500m – 20km (2 laps) – 5km (4 laps)
